Mustering the courage…

Do you see what I did there? Even made my ‘About Me’ about food, sort of. Muster, mustard. I’m going out on a limb, being brave and starting my own blog…

I’ve been cooking for as long as I can remember.

I may have started cooking when I was ten, I honestly don’t recall how old I was, but I can tell you I’ve been doing it ever since. I’m not a professional. As much as I enjoy cooking, my career path never took me into the restaurant industry, not even waitressing in college. So why a blog? Why now? Well, they say if you do what you love, you never work a day in your life. And so, what brings me joy now is food. A serious. Food. Crush. Everything from cooking, watching ‘how to’ shows, learning about the history of foods, finding that local hole in the wall place to eat, trying to photograph the beauty in what we eat, and most of all, sharing a homemade meal with family and friends.

What I hope to achieve…

is sharing recipes for foods I can’t resist, restaurants I love, kitchen gadgets to make it all easier, and anything else I find that’s worth running to tell you about. This is my creative outlet. If you’re reading this, I hope you enjoy this blog. If I can convince you and enough people that Serious Food Crush is interesting and worth following, someday this could be more than a walk out on a limb. I suspect I’ll be talking to the void for a while, except for anyone reading this. And thank you for finding the ‘About Me’ page. So, cheers to you and me and doing what makes you happy.
